Taekwondo is one of the most systematic and scientific Korean traditional martial arts, that teaches more than physical fighting skills. It is a discipline that shows ways of enhancing our spirit and life through training our body and mind. Today, it has become a global sport that has gained an international reputation, and stands among the official games in the Olympics. (Source: WTF)
I have been practicing Taekwondo on and off since 2000. I started off at Mudo Instituttet Tveita before I moved on to NTNUI Taekwondo for a brief period. When I started studying at the University of Oslo I moved on to my current club OSI Taekwondo, but while studying in Dublin I trained with DCU Taekwondo.
Even though I’ve been calling my self a practitioner for almost 9 years, I’m only holding a 4. geup red belt. This is both due to my on-again off-again training habits, and due to my moving between clubs. I am currently working as a part time instructor in basic techniques with the OSI Taekwondo club.
